The monument was created in 2010 by sculptor Anna Magana with a donation from the Alazraki couple. It is a shattered Star of David, with its rays pointing in different directions, representing the fragmentation of Greek Jewry during the Holocaust.

Aromatic plants native to Greece were planted around the monument so that the memory would be combined with the sense of smell.

👉 Each ray bears the names of Greek cities with Jewish communities, highlighting their historical presence and tragic fate.
